Marriage Supper of the Lamb
I attended an 2004 E. T. H. conference in Jacksonville, Florida. One of the nights was to be a formal gathering with everyone invited, it sounded real nice. They sold tickets for it. If you had a ticket you could attend. I didn't think it was that important and my money was kind of tight, so I decided I wasn't going to purchase a ticket. I wanted to go, but financially a figured I really didn't need to. I found out later that day that the two ladies I roomed with were going to attend and one of them had purchased a ticket for an E.T.H. staff member, so she could go. When she went downstairs to give the ticket to the her, she found out that she already one. So she came back up to the room, saying she couldn't believe it. She said “why do I have this extra ticket?” She asked Sally if she got her ticket and she said yes. She asked me and I said no. She said "oh well this must be for you then!" I took the ticket and thanked her and thanked God. I realized this must be a defining moment because He didn't want me to miss it or He wouldn't have provided the ticket. I was so excited. We were going to be in the banquet line of the event which started at 7:00 PM. So I started getting ready, I could hardly wait to go. About 6:30 I was ready and asked my roommates why they weren't ready yet. They were stretched out on their beds visiting. They told me to go ahead, they would catch up with me shortly. They said "SAVE ME A SEAT! Go ahead we'll catch up with you later!" So I left the room and headed down to the ballroom. It was so beautiful! Golden chandeliers, round tables, everything setup perfectly. They began to seat us, so I saved two chairs, one on each side of me. As it was getting closer to 7:00 I kept looking for my friends but I never saw them anywhere. There were so many people, and everyone had a special seat. I was sitting literally with the nations. Some could hardly speak a word of English but it didn't matter. My heart started racing faster when all of a sudden the Holy Spirit got my attention, He said "where are your friends?" I said "I don't know, they said they were coming." He said "Patti, look at the time." Just then the big clock which was hanging right in front of me struck 7:00. He said "look!" Next thing I saw the servers begin to split off into twos and they marched toward the doors which they then closed and locked shut. Now no one could enter. It didn't matter if you had a ticket or not. I began to get sad. My heart began to cry and I said "Lord where are they? They said they would be here. God, how could they miss it? They had their tickets? They know it is an important event! How could they not make it?" He said "Patti, it's just like the Marriage Supper." I said "what do you mean?" He said, "the place is already set. The name tags are already on the tables, I invited them to come to the banquet but on that day, my darling, many you thought would be there won't be there. They will miss it. Many of them you thought in your heart, how could they have missed it, they will miss it because they will be too busy, they'll miss it” He said sadly. As soon as I heard Him say this and I heard the doors lock, I began to weep. Jesus said "the doors in heaven will shut the same and they will not be able to enter in. So tell them! Don't miss it!" I cried and I cried. The people at my table were so sweet and wondered why I was so upset. I explained to them what the Lord had said. It got real quiet. We had a wonderful dinner. It was a five course dinner and I was served like a princess. I really felt like I was in heaven for a night. After it was over I went to up to my room. I entered and immediately jumped all over my friends. They couldn't understand why I was so upset. They said they got carried away visiting about things and decided to watch it on TV instead. I began to tell them what I experienced. I told them how their places were SAVED. They're setting was ready, time was running out. The next thing I knew, the men went towards the doors and 'bong' they were locked . It was 7:00 PM on the dot and no one was getting in! I told them what the Word said. How they should have been there, they had their ticket, they had no excuse, they were expected to be there. He was expecting them and I was expecting them, when all of a sudden the doors were locked and they missed it! They both began to cry, one jumped on the floor and repented and the other one rolled over on the bed and repented. God demonstrated to me this night that we must always be ready so that we don't miss it! Never get caught up in things here on earth, that it would cost us an appointment with Him, the Marriage Supper has been planned and we must be there! Imagine this, there is a great cloud of witnesses in heaven, shouting Hallelujah, Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who are summoned (invited) called to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. He said to me (further) "these are the true words, the genuine exact declarations of God." He said to John "write this down, blessed are those who are summoned" (called) (invited) to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I was summoned (invited) to this supper by the Lord. He provided the ticket, He placed it in my spirit in excitement that I better be there! I prepared myself, wore my best gown and arrived early because I didn't want to miss a thing. To this day, I am so glad that I didn't. I am so moved when I think about it. I know the angels recorded who attended. Just like it reads "come and gather yourselves together unto the Supper of the great God." Even the music was heavenly. What a solemn moment in time. Selah.
